The answer surprised even us.
Through the #howmanykgs campaign, the TakeBag community collectively recycled 4,836kg of e-waste — proving that when recycling is made convenient, people are willing to take action.
To put 4,836kg into perspective:
Every kilogram represents items that would otherwise sit forgotten in drawers, storerooms, or be discarded incorrectly.
What made #howmanykgs special wasn’t just the weight — it was the people.
By turning recycling into a challenge, #howmanykgs transformed a normally overlooked task into something engaging, visible, and rewarding. Even the winner of the campaign mentioned on how this is convenient and fun too!
