KGS sponsors Singapore’s first formula-styled electric race car

Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) is an international competition where top engineering universities design, build and compete their formula-styled race cars over various grueling events, pushing their engineering skills and knowledge to the limits. The student engineers in the NUS FSAE team, together with their advisors, have been competing in the competition in Michigan, USA since the early 2000s and have been consistently finishing in the top 15 out of over 120 schools in recent years.

KGS participating in the NUS FSAE Launch

This year is the first time the team forays into the realm of electric racing machines and KGS is very proud to have supported them in their endeavour. Recently, we participated in the NUS FSAE launch event where they unveiled the fruits of their hard work. The event was graced by Senior Minister of State for Transport Chee Hong Tat who congratulated the team’s efforts and shared how this transition mirrors Singapore’s plan for electrification.

As global electrification progresses, so will the management of electronic waste. KGS recognizes this and invests in the future, to be ready to manage and process e-waste, building a sustainable future.

“We are happy to support the team’s effort in building their first electric race car. Students graduating from this program will be well equipped for the electrified future ahead. Also, being an alumnus of the team, this sponsorship is extra special for me”
