Someone asked me two weeks ago: “Why are you doing this?”
(They were referring to TakeBag.)
And honestly, he’s right — we didn’t have to do this.
The birth of TakeBag came from noticing a few simple but frustrating pain points in how e-waste recycling is done today.
Most of us have 3–4 unused, data-bearing devices lying somewhere at home. But when we finally decide to dispose of them, two questions often stop us:
Assurance – “How do I know my data is handled safely?”
Accessibility – “It’s too far.”
So, we decided to rethink what recycling could feel like — to go beyond the traditional drop-off experience and make it personal, convenient, and trustworthy.
With TakeBag, we address both pain points head-on:
To us, TakeBag isn’t just a campaign — it’s a movement.
A movement that says things can change if we care enough to act.
We’ve just rolled out TakeBag across the Tanjong Pagar–Tiong Bahru constituency, and I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Foo Ce Xiang, Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar–Tiong Bahru, for his support in our efforts to improve e-waste recycling rates.
This is just the beginning. We’re committed to doing better each time 💪
